A Gracious Visit: Inara Pey at Caerleone Manor

It is with both pleasure and humility that we acknowledge the recent publication by Inara Pey, whose thoughtful article, Caerleone Manor: A Stately Gem in Second Life, has graced the pages of Living in a Modemworld.

Inara Pey’s visit to the estate was received with great appreciation, and her impressions—so finely observed and generously expressed—have captured the spirit in which Caerleone was conceived. She describes the Manor as “a stunning Full region design celebrating a bygone era of grand estates and magnificent homes,” and further remarks upon the thoughtful balance between architecture and landscape, noting the spaciousness that allows our gardens “to breathe.” Such sentiments are not only flattering, but affirming to those of us who have laboured to make Caerleone not merely a place of beauty, but one of meaning.

We were especially charmed by Inara Pey’s eye for detail—from the Rococo interiors and curated artworks, to the whimsical touches such as the golden monkeys that bear the lights in our dining room. That she recognised the nods to artists like Fragonard and Boucher, and understood the quiet conversation between past and present within our halls, speaks to her cultivated discernment.

Her visit came as we prepared for the opening of Baroque Elegance, a digital exhibition by the renowned photographer and artist Hermes Kondor, to be unveiled on June 8th. That event, along with many others planned for the season, seeks to fulfil the Manor’s purpose as a living estate—where art, music, conversation, and refined company find their natural home.

To be included in Inara Pey’s writings is no small honour. We extend our sincerest thanks and offer a warm invitation to all who may read her piece: come and visit. Whether to stroll the gardens, attend a salon, or simply to rest a while in good company, Caerleone Manor awaits you with doors open and lamps lit.
